California Skin Cancer Prevention Program

Program Information

The mission of the Skin Cancer Prevention Program is to:

  • Increase public awareness regarding the dangers of over exposure to sunlight
  • Increase individual and organization-wide practice of sun-safety behaviors; and
  • Decrease future incidents (new cases) of skin cancer among California residents

The target audiences are:

  • Children under 15 years of age, their parents, and other care providers for children, and
  • Outdoor workers
