Sacramento Synchronized Swim Team
Project Description:
The Sacramento Synchronized Swim Team (SSWT) will be raising awareness about and encouraging skin cancer prevention strategies at the US Master's Synchronized Swim Championship. In Addition, SSWT will distribute Synch Sun Safe Toolkits to coaches statwide with information , strategies, and incentives to implement sun safe practices with their local synchronized swim teams/clubs.

Walnut Creek Aquanuts
Project Description: The Walnut Creek Aquanuts will be devleoping and implementing a sun safety policy along with raising awarenss of coaches, parents, swimmers, lifeguards, and other local swim teams and coaches.

Western University
Project Description: Western University will be conducting presentaiton at Pomona Unified school District High Schools to increase awareness about the risks of skin cancer in people of all skin tones, the dangers of UV exposure and tannign beds, recognizing skin changes, interpreting the UV index, and appropriate sun safety behaviors. In addition, they will impment a poster contest to create age-appropriate messages that will be displayed at each of the participating high schools.
